Design of a side table in aluminium sheet, developed through a research process focused on form and gesture. Through paper models, the project investigates volume and material behaviour, leading to a simple principle: two overlapping sheets forming a continuous double-level volume.
Crafted in the workshop, the sheet metal is curved then folded at 90° to give the object its structure. A chromatic contrast, off-white on the outside, blue on the inside, highlights the curves and creates visual depth. The two surfaces, set at different heights, extend this idea of a double reading between form and function.
