Design of a freestanding wooden bookshelf whose structure relies on a joinery system incorporating a second material.
To address this constraint, the project explores the curve as a structural principle: vertical slats, held together by a fabric band at top and bottom, bend collectively to form a supple and airy volume, the fabric becomes structure, the assembly becomes concept. The curve creates a double reading between bookshelf and room divider, while the gaps between the slats filter light and animate the surface.
